WEGO Parking ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data when you use the WEGO app.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following types of information:

• Account information: Your email address, user ID, and the name you choose to share when you create an account or sign in with Google or Apple.
• Location data: Your device's current location, used to broadcast your parking spot to nearby drivers, privately save where you parked, show available spots near you, and provide street-cleaning reminders. Location is only accessed when you use the app.
• Display name and vehicle information: Your display name and the vehicle color and make you choose to save for parking broadcasts.
• App activity and usage data: The number of parking spots you have shared and found, broadcast history used to calculate community contributions, saved parking actions, alert settings, and optional coarse private parking signals used to improve HeatMap AI.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To display your parking spot broadcast to nearby drivers in real time.
• To show you available parking spots on the map.
• To send you parking alerts for your saved zones.
• To warn you about upcoming street cleaning at your logged parking location.
• To privately remember your parked car location for your account only.
• To improve HeatMap AI using coarse, non-public parked-car signals when this setting is enabled.
• To track your community contributions toward earned Premium status.
• To display your display name and vehicle information within the app.

3. Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only in the following ways:

• Other WEGO users: When you broadcast your spot, your vehicle type and approximate location are visible to nearby drivers. Your privately saved parked-car location is not shown publicly. Your email is never shared publicly.
• WEGO HeatMap AI: If Private HeatMap Signals are enabled, WEGO may use a coarse grid location, day of week, and time bucket from your saved parked-car event. This signal does not include your exact parked-car coordinates or public identity.
• Google Firebase: We use Firebase for authentication and database storage. Data is processed in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy.
• NYC Open Data: We query public street cleaning data to provide alerts. No personal information is sent to this service.

4. Data Retention

Your account data is retained as long as your account is active. Broadcast history is retained for up to 12 months to calculate community contributions. You may delete your account and associated app data from the Profile screen, or contact us for help with a deletion request. Deletion removes your account record, private parked-car data, saved vehicle information, parking logs, claimed spots, and active broadcasts where applicable.

5. Photos, Contacts, and Payment Data

WEGO does not collect photos, photo libraries, videos, contacts, payment information, purchase history, health data, or financial data.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you.
• Request correction of inaccurate data.
• Request deletion of your account and personal data.
• Withdraw consent for location access at any time through your device settings.

7. Children's Privacy

WEGO is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

8. Security

We use industry-standard security measures, including Firebase's built-in security rules and encrypted data transmission, to protect your information. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
